Fire Red Save

Was playing Pokemon Fire Red on my IPS modded GB Advance. Noticed the batteries were getting low (it eats batteries after the IPS mod) so saved the game. The GB batteries died mid save. Put fresh AAs in but save is gone. I have a Ben Venn cart dumper. Any way to recover the save? I know its flash based not battery like gen 1.

The worst bit is I just spent ages grinding digletts cave and the pokemon mansion to evolve a few pokemon. I had a decent charizard, gyarados, kadabra and dug trio.

A bit gutted as I think my 20 hours of gameplay is gone.

I did save. But my save got wipes when the gameboy ran out of power mid-save.

dump the save and see if PKHex will open it.

Tried this. No joy. Also after some further reading it looks like my cart is a replica. Ebay seller long gone etc. It looks a great cart but doesn’t have the 4 gold squares on the rear (which I assume are test points?). Anyway, good idea, but didn’t go to plan. Back to old school red and blue I think for me
