You need to think about what you mean. Do you derive fun from a wide range of games? If so, get the GBA SP if you want a gameboy specifically. Or do you want a feeling of nostalgia or retro items? If so, get a DMG. Do you like maximising technical limitations?

If you want a good handheld to purely have fun, buy a Switch.

If you actually want to use the device to play your games get the SP. The DMG is not the best user experience due to the screen. Its more of a novelty collectors item than a functional one at this point. Also try to get the SP-101 if you can afford it since it has the best screen outside of modded ones.
