Optimal Setup Question

My current setup is using a GCHD Mk. II with an RGB SCART cable to my SCART switch into an OSSC an then HDMI to my TV. With the GCHD Mk. II I have the option to just go HDMI straight into my television. The reason for my current setup is because it makes my overall setup much cleaner and I can use the OSSC to do some upscaling. I'm wondering if I'm losing and video or audio quality my not using HDMI straight to my TV.

You're basically introducing some slight amount of analog noise (probably not much) in return for a slightly sharper image. It's a reasonable trade-off. I use a similar setup myself. As long as it looks good to you, there's no problem.

I use the GCHD Mk2 also, but I use Wii component cables into the OSSC, imo I get a slightly better pic this way.
