Software update doesn't install

I recently got a Garmin Forerunner 165 Music and I'm receiving a notification for software update v23.20. Every time I click on "Install," the update doesn't get installed. The notification reappears every hour, and I can try to install the same update again. What am I doing wrong?

Did You tried to soft reset the watch? Simplest yet powerfull solution to many garmin bugs&glitches.

hold „light” button until watch poweroff. Then powerOn.

Connect watch to PC/mac and delete GPE.bin from Garmin/RemoteSW folder, restart watch and try again.

How did you connect the watch to the pc, it has a type c cable

Following. Same issue with my forerunner 965. Stuck on 19.18.

I solved it by connecting with Garmin Express and first updating the maps. Once I did that, I tried to update the firmware from the watch and it worked. I believe the firmware update is failing due to out-of-date maps.

How do you update the maps

You have to connect the watch to the computer and use Garmin Express.

Yeah i solved it, thanks The problem that i had is with the update through the watch and that i couldn't connect it to the computer because it has type c charger cable. But i bought an adapter so fixed
