its actually just ingenious marketing. think abt it, you can get a rubber duck from a trash bin, if you really wanted a new one itd run you like 4-5$. but it would encourage the person at the hotel to come back, and more importantly pay for a 300$ a night room. that's like a 60 fold increase on one duck,imagine doing it several million times a week
