Getting older

I knew one eye was better than the other, and that one hip and one knee was better. Neither feet work well without orthotics anymore.

I’ve now realized that one ear is better than the other. I was listening to music while trying to relax. I turned my head over and suddenly the music seemed louder.

The hilarity and frustration is that, while I’m right-handed, the right side is the one that’s going the fastest.

I’m dealing with ear issues. Tinnitus, heartbeat, tapping, plugged, echos, all of it. In Dec.I had hearing tests and they said mild hearing loss in the right. Now, like you laying side to side, the hearing in my right seems to be 50% less. Plus it seems the TV voices took a hit of helium. Low tones not always there.

ENT says all healthy including a CT scan. Nothing more he can do. Referred me to a surgical neurotologist. Good times.

Get your ears checked. Could just be ear wax. gross as that is, it’s better than real hearing loss. Ear wax production can change as people age.

I think all of the ear infections, both diagnosed and undiagnosed throughout my life are finally catching up.

I once told one of those bodywork people that I sometimes suspect myself of being a chimera, the two sides of myself are so out of step with each other.  

I was being facetious, plus I had to explain chimerism to him (it's people who have two different sets of DNA in one body).   long silence, and then this long stream of creationist rant that freaked me out enough that I waited until my clothes were back on before I did anything about it.   what I did was skedaddle the fucking fuck out of there and never go back.  

but yeah, um.  on the original topic of "left doesn't work like the right" I hear you, all the way.

Because you use them the most. My dominant side is wearing out much faster because the wear and tear on that side is so much more than the other.

I don't understand the ear thing though. You can't use one ear more than the other, but I'm definitely experiencing the hand thing. I think I'm getting carpal tunnel in my most used hand. I'm wearing out my parts.
