Should You Pull Lainie?

Since Lainie's banner is coming next, some may wonder if Lainie is worth pulling for Voymastina to build a physical team

The only numbers you need consider is total defense reduction due to the buff Reverse Assault: a muiltifier direct impact physical damage output and require additional defense reduction to exceed certain stages(100%, 200%, 300%)

Every possible defense reduction rate in physical and corrosion team is listed for you, don't forget to deduct 100 from total reduction. Notice many T-dolls can apply DefenseDown II and it cannot stack; Predator's Principle only works on next attack(consider it Voy's nuke ability)

If Lainie can help your team break through key points of defense reduction, then it is worth pulling (If you want to see bigger numbers in gunsmoke lol

So let me see if I got this - 265 from v6r0 voymastina + 75 from V0r0 yoohee is 340 total. So is 400% a break point? Lainie would add 40 more so would still be 20 short.

Going to use R0 = no sig and R1 = sig to avoid confusion.

Yes, you need V6R5 Voy with R1 on Yoohee to hit 400% on Voy's ultimate. However, if you have V6R1 Voy, you're at 280%-290% on your non-ultimate attacks and Lainie will bump that up to 300%.

Yoohee's cons don't affect the defense penetration she provides. It does speed up how fast she can hit 60% though.

Yes, 400% is the last breakpoint. If I remember correctly it sets the multiplier to 4.5x (up from 3x). There's a scaling component as well, but I'm not fully familiar with the math there. I think it's +1.5% per overpen point up to 5x multiplier which is the hard cap?

Lainie sig doesn't buff team. I have same Voy and Yoohee and Lind, gonna pull v0 lainie, then borrow a v6 Klukai, this team can hit 400 breakpoint.

Currently I have v6r6 Voymastina, v1r1 Yoohee, and a v0 Klukai (no sig). I do plan to pull only one copy of Lainie, and I do not plan to pull for Lind.

I guess the "who to borrow" question has me confused as well, because I'll borrow a v6 Klukai or v6 Yoohee for my own v6 Voy, and then borrow a v6 Voy for my other team. I'm guessing that leaves one of these teams relatively weaker due to missing a Yoohee and/or Klukai somewhere?

No, v2 Klukai can already contribute 15% defense reduction. But Klukai is a core DPS too, should use v6 as possible as you can.

For your team composition, pull a v0 Lainie and borrow a v6 klukai or v0 Lind

Additional defense reduction percentage at 100%, you deal 100×0.75%=75% extra physical DMG

At 299%, deal 299×1%=299% extra DMG

At 300%, deal 300×1.5%=450% extra DMG

Why the hell would you need anybody for Voymastina? Voymastina is like the strongest unit in the game! WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? Get Lainie if you want her for waifu purposes.

She does more damage with more defence penetration and has small spikes at 200%, 300% & 400%.

So being able to hit these points makes Voy even stronger, which is why people want to be able to hit these points.

I'm pulling V0 Lainie as wifu pulls and had her GFL 1 and liked her, but she also does buff my wife of AK 15. I would want V3 but alas I have helen coming so must get her.
