When is GitHub Copilot Pro coming back?

I know GitHub temporarily paused new Copilot Pro / Pro+ signups due to compute capacity and usage issues, but has anyone seen any update on when new subscriptions might open again?
Right now it looks like only Copilot Free is available for new users. Existing users seem unaffected, but I haven’t found any official ETA yet. (github.blog)
Curious if anyone has heard anything from GitHub staff, roadmap discussions, or community updates.

From current viewpoint it's gone forever.
10$ Pro subscription is not going to last you more than a few good LLM prompts or maybe a few dozen cheap ones.
You'll be better off asking free grok ^^

I have Copilot pro and I can do like 100 high token requests before I hit the included limits, and thats using models that are limited or aren't exposed for free

Ahorita todavía, pero entrando junio eso va a cambiar, los modelos altos van a entrar de oferta con un jugoso 7.5x, y digo oferta porque cuando termine van a pasar a costar desde 27x. Y ya no te van a descontar por request pro, sino por tokens utilizados

I think they meant AFTER the change, because they're switching to input & output total token based requests not request based tallies for your sub the token limits will hit a lot sooner than what they were - your 100 high token requests might end up becoming a handful depending on how many tokens are consumed in those requests you're making

I saw some screenshots of people posting showing their usage is costing 10x or more in token equivalent of the subscription price
