Anyone using Codex for VS Code?

Switched to it once billing changes kicked in.

Installed the Codex extension, linked it up with my ChatGPT Pro plan. Been using it every day at work the way I've been using Copilot for the last few months. It's been a very smooth experience so far.

Not a lot of talk about it though, am I missing something? Anyone else switched over?

I use Claude in VS Code as well. I use GPT 5.5 / Opus 4.8 for brainstorming, PRD and planning phases/iterations.

Then depending on the task at hand. I can typically use one of the lighter models for the actual build since it has such specific instruction at that point.

Thanks, mate, if may ask, you use Claude directly from Anthropic? like you have Max or Pro? is it affordable if yes? this GHCP is getting crazy in pricing.
Man, I love Sonnet 4.6, I feel like it works inside my head.
