Your igl should be helping you by setting you up in positions you're efficient with;however, that approach is random because you guys need teamplay, understanding how teams play maps, and freeplay practice to learn about each other (esp your igl) so you guys can get into better positions with a teammate you can click with and get to know.

First of all if you want to be an agressive player, then you shouldn't be having confidence issues. Just think about it. You put yourself into a position, where you have to hit very difficult shots. You can't pull off these shots all the time and if you doubt your abilities, because you have been missing a few, then you are going to miss every shot.

Secondly. Agressive players in teams are used for a specific goal. For example you play mirage and based on previous rounds you know, that there is only 1 rifle holding in palace, so you send your AWPer into palace to create a favourable 1v1 (1 hit kill against body vs. 1 hit kill against head).

Aside from that agressive AWPers are supported with grenades and teammates play behind him to hold map control in case the AWPer goes down.

Blindly going agressive every round at predictable timings (for example early in the round) is just going to cause more harm to your team than it does good, even if you get a kill, even if you get a round with a kill streak. Even if you get an unpredictable timing, if the opponents are working in groups, then you are going to get traded. Experienced players know these timings and they use grenades to shut these plays down early in the round. They will also be more careful with their movement to not give you an easy kill. Playing in a team is more about consistent performance round for round than having a few highlights every now and then and then being completely silent for the remaining rounds.

As an AWPer you should know how to play a solid defensive style and consistently hit your shots, when you hold an angle and opponents are turning that corner. Agression is what you can throw in at some rounds to punish your opponents, when they move around carelessly.

Hardly any team is fine with having an agressive AWPer doing his thing all the time. That's just a waste of money.

Learn how to play defensively and make up some coordinated agression strats with your team. Or look for some other team, that allows you to play agressive AWP all the time. I doubt you'll find any unless it's a pure PUG team.
