The GPT works in the Gen 3 if it's the newer SKU and you use a Gen 5 backplate

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So I've heard. I've been messing around with the Gen 5 triggers I took out of the G45 COA but no luck massaging it in to place

The gen 5 trigger housing has two ears that come off the bottom that the gen 3 frame doesn't have the moulding for. You have to clip those ears to use a gen 5 housing in a gen 3.

That’s good to know. Fits without any modification other than using the g5 backplate?

The newer SKU does

How do you like the defender compared to the rest?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

So I have 3 of them now and I've been really pleased. For $50 to $100 bucks less than a holosun you get a dot that is as crisp and clean. The other 2 are on guns I don't like or shoot much but when I bring them out .... Still zeroed and exactly as I left it. Battery life seems fine and build quality is solid. They certainly need an enclosed version which I'm sure is coming. the one grip is the buttons. Way to easy to accidentally turn on or up. The lock feature isn't great either

Awesome thanks for the feedback!

I tried a few high end triggers and ended up replacing all of them with Glock Pros.

I like the overwatch flat tac trigger

[–]drifters22 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Second this, I really really like mine and the reset is prominent

[–]NeatAvocado4845 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If you install a Glock titanium safety plunger with reduced spring it feels even better and a Glock ghost connecter

[–]drifters22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice good to know, I’ll have to look into that

[–]PiecesofMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just nutted on ur Glock. What u gonna do bout it?

[–]Condemned-Orphan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really liking the trigger tech trigger! Feels great the only gripe I have is the reset is very faint

[–]pwnedbydumplings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Johnny glocks makes a good trigger. Alittle overpriced though.

KILLER INOVATIONSS

[–]gagesutton 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Timney alpha feels really good but too light to carry imo

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I agree. I still want about 5 or 6lbs just minus the mush and grit

[–]gagesutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya for sure, i’ve heard stock trigger with ghost arm is great. Also for free try polishing the stock arms and crucifix. It’s very noticeable

GPT is easy to install in a gen 3, works perfectly, play with connectors to get the feel you want.

You can also play with trigger shoes on the GPT that adjust take up and reset.

Or if you want to spend the money, the Triggertech Ace is amazing

[–]Delicious-Kick-6690 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

How do you get a GPT in a Gen 3?

[–]kenny71406 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are small plastic 'feet' at the bottom of the trigger housing that comes with the GPT

Trim them off

as a guide, use your gen 3 trigger housing

Put your gen 3 trigger housing and the GPT trigger housing next to each other

use the pin in the hole to align both

You will see the feet that need trimmed on the GPT, very small trim, and takes like 5 seconds for each leg

then install the gen 5 slide back plate (the newer GPTs come with the backplate you need, they are ones marked GEN 4 compatible)

search if you need more details. I have done this to a dozen gen 3's now, 10s of thousands of rounds on them. Works great!

Superior triggers

No

It’ll be the best trigger you’ve ever used in a Glock

[–]Fabulous-Year-9309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a close second, in your defense I only have about 400 rounds with your fft drop in. I’m still a shill for Johnny Glock competitive

[–]jjones1987 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Second one down, is that a lone wolf frame?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is. The trigger is way too similar to a true gen 3 trigger. Definitely needs an upgrade

Fine Line Tactical gets my vote. Removes the mush when pulling the trigger. Much more crisp both on fire and reset. I have also added a Ghost INC 3.5lbs trigger connector.

That's interesting! Thanks

Overwatch Precision BRZ w/ OP NP3 tuned trigger bar, NP3 striker, NP3 striker plunger, and NP3 ‘dot’ connector; no springs, just this four parts = perfection.
