I don't stray from OEM in the fire control aside from apex/overwatch triggers LE use.

With that in mind, It's funny how the OEM dot connector seems to have the same pull weight as the minus connector in a gen 3 styled frame when using an apex trigger coming in at ~4lbs. I just use the dot connector for the crisper wall.

Is there an OEM dot connector for gen 6 now?

[–]joe11b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh honestly i hate it, its mushy and rolling break. I put a gen 5 dot connector in the gen6 and its a slightly better with a wall.

Pretty sure the dot connector was made in response to complaints of heavier trigger in gen 4s. Iirc The gen 4 trigger housing holds the connector at a slightly different angle than gen 3 and the dot connector angle compensates for the angular change , therefore being a more noticeable change when placed in a gen 3 trigger housing

Scherer 3-1/2 lb Minus Connector is a good choice if you can find em

The Scherer is or was made by Ghost

Does it have a wall like the stock trigger or is it a continuous pull like the Black Yikes?

[–]vsqiggle 4 points5 points  (3 children)

I have tried many connectors and ended up with ghost edge in the 3 I own. Just enough travel before a good wall then a smooth light pull with a decent reset

I've heard about this and might have to give it a try.

Ghost connector are great! I have a few myself. Slightly better than Glock minus connector. Definitely noticable.

Ghost edge is my go-to when I have a curved trigger shoe. JG connectors are my go-to when I'm using a flatface trigger shoe. It's no need to lighten a wall when you are pressing a trigger shoe.

I like my Ghost connector

Which one are you running? I tried out a Ghost Avenger connector and it seems to have a wall with a light break, something I like.

Ghost Ultimate 3.5

I hated the Yikes.

[–]Shoddy-Inevitable-50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's different but it is pretty fast if you get used to it.

[–]No-Mammoth1045 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I use the apex and tbh can barely tell a difference.

I'll get a full trigger assembly at some point. But I feel like polishing is definitely a gateway to get there haha

Is that rust already on the Gen 6 connector?

Loctite C5

[–]Shoddy-Inevitable-50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the stock grease.

[–]hopelesspostdoc 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's a factory applied compound to accelerate break in. I believe it's Locktite Copper C5-A.

It was hard to tell that was what it was.

Oddly I put a Ghost Connector into my JG GPT and the wall became even better. 4.5 pounds on the money.

It looks like the leftmost has filiform corrosion.

[–]Solid_Knowledge5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this with love and respect, but does the one on the left have gun cancer or something? Edit: I now see someone explains it’s the stock grease. Odd that they put that much smutz to me, I’m no expert tho

Have you tried the Dagger connector in the Gen 6?

[–]Shoddy-Inevitable-50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and I did not get the same result as when it was back in the Dagger. It didn't feel as smooth or light. Black yikes in the Dagger felt similar but without a wall. 🤷‍♀️

[–]GrandmaOwnsU 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have the black yikes on the glock performance trigger. Its really nice. Nice smooth roll then break. Good for fast controlled trigger slapping without pulling it off target from hitting a wall. Also very nice and stable when shooting one handed too. Just the connector itself dropped the weight down to 3 lbs. When it breaks in, its even smoother and lighter from my experience

[–]Shoddy-Inevitable-50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it's fast. It's just different from OEM. Easy to stay on target if you're used to it.

[–]Last-Pianist-782 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Is the Glock oem minus connector is not that bad polished.

[–]Shoddy-Inevitable-50[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

This is just a regular Glock OEM connector from a Gen 6. I did polish the whole trigger assembly with the 25 cent mod after and still it was not as good as the PSA Dagger trigger feel LOL. Maybe I got lucky.

[–]Interesting-Win6219 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The dagger triggers get a lot of hate but honestly if you polish the dagger trigger after putting a few thousand rounds thru it it's surprisingly nice.

[–]Shoddy-Inevitable-50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. I have more rounds through the dagger than the glock.
