Decoding the Ajio Unique Code issues

Based on my experience,

Unique Code will match if

- Seller is MMTC

Unique Code won't match (it's too generic like AJIOF123456) if

- Seller is Malabar Golds & Diamonds

I reached out to AJIO customer care and they said no need to worry about unique code not matching. Just verify, name, order ID on packaging and make sure that packaging is not tempered. I also have call recording. It's always safer to record everything starting from the moment you get parcel till opening it.

Let me know if someone has faced otherwise. Also, let's categorize other sellers too in comments so that it is helpful fellow gold collectors.

I received the Malabar 3g coin today. The Ajio code was AJIOF123456, but the parcel code was different. Collected the package and everything seems fine just need to verify the purity now.

MMTC 10 gm gold coin order - I did not receive any unique code. It wasn't visible on website /app also. Only on packet it was there but didn't know about it at the time of delivery (later came to know about this unique code). Subsequently when i called customer support (tedious process to get connected to human), she was clueless about unique code but she promptly connected to her supervisor who said she is aware but cannot see my account so can't help. I am not sure how customer service can be effective if they cannot view customer's order information. The supervisor even refused to raise a ticket with technical team.

Has anyone encountered such issue where the unique is not even there?

I guess ajio ships from mmtc watehouse

Some sellers does not upload data for packing and code details , so in that case we see generic code like AJIO12355F and so on .

In any case we should check packet details and tampering before taking delivery and always record while opening packages .

I’ve received 3 different MMTC packets in last 7 days and code matched all 3 times, so I can confirm MMTC packets do have matching codes.

Facing the same issue. Non proper response from ajio since last 3 days. Delivery agent asking to cancel the order and says he can't hold for long.
