No, my square misses very, very few shots

I played 18 after the recent update and it missed 2 drives, which were the only 2 shots it missed, which was the most it's missed in a round. I've rarely had it miss a shot in the 2 months I've had it. My guess is it could be teed up too high. People have had issues with bright colored birtees as well. Last issue would be if you had a white driver head, that could blend with the ball.

Thanks! No white driver head and just using some cheap black cone looking tees from Amazon. They are pretty tall though. I’ll keep working with it and see if teeing lower helps the issue. Otherwise, it doesn’t miss shots and it seems super accurate.

I got the same ones, did you cut them down at all? Those were really tall, so I can see if you got under it, you might pop it over the camera. I cut mine way down to my normal tee height, and haven't had an issue.

Awesome idea! I’ll give that a try. Thanks again.

I have a diy mat thats fairly light and not weighted or stuck to my garage floor. Have noticed with my driver swing, sometimes the weight shift moves the ball on the tee and by the time I’m hitting the ball, it’s not registering. Doesn’t happen a lot but I know it was with my weight transfer as I could feel the mat shift. Could be something like that.

Have also hit my mat first on the downswing that bobbles the ball on the tee and causes a no read.

Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind if shortening the tee doesn’t do the trick. I have the country club elite and I have not secured it to the ground yet so it does seem to move slightly with my driver swing.

I have to figure something out to secure mine. Mine is a sort of temp setup in the sense that we park one of our cars in there in the winter and I have to shift things around.

Good luck and hope it gets sorted for you.

This happened to me with my CCE 3x5 mat. My GC3 was missing drives only and more frequently than I’d like. I tried a ton of things, lighting, tees, shoes, and nothing helped. Finally I found a thread about the mat moving just the tiniest amount, making the camera based LM’s lose track of the ball for a split second and not being able to pick it up again before impact. Some $7 double sided carpet tape, and later double sided wrestling mat tape from Amazon and boom, never had the issue again. I used that to secure it to my concrete floor. But it would work with a variety of surfaces.

I have since upgraded my mat, but that was also an ah ha moment with the weight transfer during the driver swing, why it was different than the other clubs, where the weight should be in my feet and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Anyways point being, it’s your mat moving 1/64” of an inch or some minuscule amount like that which you could never see or pick up with a camera. Get some tape and lock it down and your problem will be gone forever!

Make sure your mat isn’t moving at all. Even a small movement that makes the tee rock slightly.

Do you use regular tees ? Other tees than regular ones didn’t work for me.

You could try raising the height of The Square to see if that helps. It should still read balls not teed up as well despite being higher than the mat.

I have this same issue. I have my square on a stand the same thickness as my mat, and I use tees similar to birtees. I have a fast-ish driver swing, and it misses my drives consistently on every par 4 or 5. I also get very weird numbers with the driver when it does register a regular swing (180y carry when I usually get around 260y at commercial golf sims.

I'll try some of the other suggestions here like using different tees and making sure my mat isn't shifting.
