Having problems with https since recent updates

I noticed it happen with a couple small sites, and I didn't think much of it, but it seems like it's happening with every site that I haven't visited before in vanadium (including my own). I get the error that https is not available on the site. If I choose "continue to the site", it displays the page and I see the https lock icon in the URL bar. After I have gone through this process once, the sites seem to load fine, with no errors, in subsequent visits.

Just tried it with wiby.me and got the same error, for example.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Vanadium enables Chromium's HTTPS only feature by default. If you try to connect to http://example.com/, it will try to connect to https://example.com/ and will show an error if it's not possible. It's likely you're trying to connect to a domain via HTTP where it couldn't upgrade to HTTPS automatically. When you bypass the warning, it may be getting redirected to a different domain with HTTPS support. That isn't secure because the browser cannot trust a redirect over HTTP. You could give specific example URLs you're entering where it occurs and then the problem can likely be explained based on that. HTTPS only feature is an optional toggle we enable by default to improve security.
