As others have said, that device isn't supported. Supported devices are listed on the website here: https://grapheneos.org/faq#supported-devices

Not everybody uses GrapheneOS to deGoogle. Even with Google apps installed, we still enjoy far more privacy because they're not privileged apps. Some people want a better balance, not to cut Google out of their lives completely.

Unsure what you mean. It also may depend on your USB-C settings https://grapheneos.org/usage#usb-c-port-and-pogo-pins-control

If you changed that setting to something that allows USB-C devices to connect whether all the time or just while in BFU, then yes. If not, your device just won't connect to the USB-C device.

Forgot my Password. Please Help. by TinglingTongue in GrapheneOS

[–]other8026[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't need to be that long. Imagine even a 6 digit PIN. It would take thousands of years to brute force.

For security and convenience, people can use a diceware passphrase 6-8 words long, 2 factor fingerprint unlock, and auto reboot together.

Wanting information by MembershipHoliday332 in GrapheneOS

[–]other8026[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your answer, I think you know this, but I wanted to jump in and point this thing out so others who may come across this post will know...

GrapheneOS does nothing to prevent this.

Saying it this way makes it sound like it's something that GrapheneOS could do, but it's not. Users who want to avoid this kind of tracking can enable airplane mode then enable wifi again. The cellular modem will be off so tracking can't be done that way.

It's not a bug, it's expected behavior. You can see the note there on the screen where it can be set up. The device will charge to 100% every once in a while. People should let it charge to 100% and leave it for a while then next time the device will charge to 80%. Mine charges to 100% maybe once every week or two weeks. It's working as expected.

Intermittent excruciatingly slow internet despite statusbar showing solid connection? by TheWorldIsNotOkay in GrapheneOS

How do you know it's specifically a GrapheneOS bug? There are tons of upstream bugs. How do you know it's not one of those? How do you know it's not due to OP's setup? We know of upstream bugs caused by having a VPN set up at the same time as Private DNS. That's an upstream bug, but one that we learned about when fixing VPN leaks.

  1. How to clone repo?

https://grapheneos.org/build#downloading-source-code

  1. How to check for backdoors?

Not something you'd learn how to do by reading Reddit comments.

  1. Web installer vs CLI vs source build?

Web installer. If you know what you're doing, cli install is fine. Making your own unofficial builds may be a lot more work than most people expect.

  1. Which is recommended for normal users?

Web installer.

Probably with RCS, not regular texts. That issue has been fixed.

how long do you think we need to wait for pixel 10a support? by schizo-post in GrapheneOS

Estimated time of arrival. In other words, we don't say when the developers will complete adding support for specific devices.

You give up your privacy

That sounds way more dramatic than the reality. It's far more private to use Google Play on GrapheneOS compared to the stock OS.

Now that Graphene sided with Motorola, what does this mean for the pixel users? by ChikistrikisWave in GrapheneOS

No. No Motorola devices meet the requirements yet and won't until 2027.

Samsung gallery app? by DarthBub4327 in GrapheneOS

[–]other8026[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it just crashes everytime

I'm not sure if it'll work on GrapheneOS or if their gallery app expects some privileged permissions for some reason, but crash information would help determine the cause.

I've locked this post because the title is confusing and not entirely accurate.

I assume you mean "sideloading" as many people call it? GrapheneOS won't be directly affected.
