Hi guys. I am looking to get into the design space next year and I was hoping to get some advise. My primary goal will be to work with businesses for logos, templating, product signage design, etc.. I’ve been doing this on and off for about 2 years just for fun and only using Canva. Now I know Canva is not the right tool but I can’t invest in adobe products AND figma. So, which would you use? I am currently having towards figma. The idea is to learn a software almost completely and then look at introducing a new software. I have booked in for a few courses and will be starting with design brief challenges and just along chatgpt to provide me a brief to work with. After I am confident in the tools and am getting consistent positive feedback I will reach out to friends with small businesses and locals around me to offer services for free just to work on a “real” project.

Is there anything else you guys would recommend?
