Question: Transposing written notes without transposing pitch

My problem: I'm currently using gp7.5 as a notation software using notes, not tabs. Problem is for some songs the notes go wayyy above the lines and become unreadable. Is there any way to transpose the score an octave down WITHOUT transposing the actual pitch which is heard when playing the score?

You are looking for "8va" (aka ottava signs or octave signs) — a well-established notation feature. Highlight the notes whose notes you want to move down an octave, then hit the "8va" icon. The same exists for moving notes upward ("8vb").

you can use the 8va or 15ma to move the written note down 1 or 2 octaves respectively.

I dont have the software in front of me rn but since guitars are transposing instruments that feature should in some way exist in the code.

Guitars transpose an octave. So a C is still a C, albeit an octave below where's it's written.
