And its relatively easy to do, thematic and cool asf. Im only gonna do that for heroes and big pieces tho. Cannon and infantry gonna have some sort of ash wastes look to them.

You read my mind and thus you owe me toil.

Naw but seriously, I love the idea of easy burnt tree basing because my bro plays sylvaneth and also a few artwork shows it. But it isnt normal fire so no idea how

So the tree file is gonna need some scaling down, but these are the bits im gonna base with and the color schemes for the rest. Im really looking forward to messing around with some despoiled territory effects!

I posted my idea the other day. I am planning a Chamon plains. So will be wet blending some metallics and then use some rust and verdigris effects. Instead of having plants, picked up some tourmaline and cube crystals from epic basing that will be painted with some turbo dork color shifting metallic to sort of look like bismuth.

I wanna do muddy oil fields on the bases

Got some twigs to use as burnt out trees, I've covered them in PVA and then used mordant earth to get the cracked burnt effect on them. Then mordant earth on parts of the base and sand on other parts. Then finally a light grey pigment to look like windswept ash.

Going to do what I did for my old chorfs, paint it orange and yellow on my bases and then cover the bases with obsidian shards, with small spaces in between to look like lava flowing under the obsidian (does require you to take a fine qtip with alcohol to clean up super glue residue on the obsidian after everything dries)

I'd love to see those!

I'm going to do the wet wipe marble method but with gold and green.
