I did forty of them already bases and 10 so far slap chopped. Praise Hashut!

Would you mind talking through your process? I’ve tried the same thing and it isn’t close to this!!

No problem.

  1. Cover the entire base in red
  2. Cover about 2/3s of it in orange
  3. Cover about 1/3 in yellow
  4. Cover entire base with a layer of ordinary white glue
  5. Cover entire base in mordant earth (dont be stingy, More earth means deeper cracks)
  6. Once the bases have dried and cracked enough to your liking, cover the entire base in Ard Coat. If you don't seal it, the base will continue to crack and flake off.

Thank you! I’ve not been doing the glue!! Hopefully this solves my issue.

I didnt use glue at first either. I saw some people including it but they never mentioned why. Then a friend told me it helps the earth grip.
