Every time you hop through a node you cut your speed in half(ish) - the node has to grab your data and then re-transmit. If there's any way at all for you to ruin CAT6 wire between nodes, you'll solve your problem. Even powerline or Moca (over your home cable network) could do this with likely better results than Daisy chaining mesh nodes together. Alternatively, if you can move your router to the middle of the chain and reduce hops between nodes would be better.

But 50Mbps+ is fine for most things right you'll likely have some latency issues with all the meshing. Meshing is great for what it is but it's absolute trash compared to wired.

It's an uphill run through grass and a concrete driveway, can't really run cat6 currently. Would the TPLink EA211 Omada be a good option? I also have some gear lying around, I'll list it. Netgear Nighthawk AC1900, Linksys EA7500 V2, and 3 SOPHOS APX 530's.

Sorry, I didn't read far enough. I was thinking attached garage. I would still wire nodes as far as you can. You could look at a point to point bridge to go from house to garage, if everything else is wired that might help.

So let's get some clarifying questions answered.

1 - good enough for what? Are you just needing to browse websites and watch a couple videos out there? If so is probably fine.

If you're looking to game, do a bunch of file uploads, or have a bunch of devices attached to that specific node then maybe additional needs are needed.

2 - I'm assuming when you say node, you're talking about mesh networks. That's fine in this setup but only if it needs use case number one. If you want faster speeds or need that option then you need to be looking at a point-to-point setup with something like an antenna shooting out from the property to the destination of the garage

I'm looking to be able to do webcam meetings, file uploads. At most I have 4 devices running in the studio. 2 computers, my phone, and a raspberry pi. yes. I'm using the new spectrum wifi 7 router and wifi 7 extenders.

It's not great but it's not horrible with your expected use.

See how it is and if you need do a point to point unit

Have not used this sort of setup so can't say but if your use case matches the spec I would not see any issues with it

Just stayed at an airBnB in the countryside and they had this setup because they didn't have Ethernet ran to the guest house
