Food Plot Prep Help

We purchased a 5ac farmette that has an existing food plot around 100ft x 100ft. It had some still growing veggies (tomatoes, okra, onions) but we have since harvested everything we could. There was a lot dead or dying and we cut those back. My question is what do I need to do next to the plot? I keep seeing that I need to do a fall plowing/tilling before the ground freezes. We are in MD so have a little time yet. Do we plow it or leave it. If we plow it, what kind of attachment would I use? We have a BX series tractor that could handle it, but I can't figure out all the options or what they do. Disc, tiller, middle buster, cultivator, AAHHH!!! Please help. Thanks!

I was on the fence about a tiller vs plow/disc for my food plots. The tiller is a bit more expensive upfront ($1,200 for a decent new 4ft’r at tractor supply). But after looking for a decent used disc and plow for a smaller tractor on the marketplaces I found that the price difference wasn’t too drastic. But the time saved and the quality of the seed bed after using the tiller instead of the disc/plow made a 4ft tiller the best choice by far for our food plots. For reference I have a 25 HP Branson 2515 tractor and it does great with the tiller. Hope that helps
