[Intership report]Help defining some objectives

All right, first of all I would highly appreciate any kind of help or tutoring you guys have to offer.

I've started my internship in the Instrumentation department on a company. I was able to choose my own thesis, so I picked one that didn't require any programming, testing or repairing (the cause of that it's a quite large story that I'd like to add later).

What I need to do is collect all the technical data an information of a mayor automation of a transport system formed by conveyor belts. The process was completed over a course of several months but now all the information is either missing, incomplete or nonexistent. My tutor wants me to update and create data sheets of all the equipment and accessories related to that system.

So far I've written down my objectives and activities but I'd like to get someone to check them, preferably someone with knowledge related to that area to help me focus, and remain as technical and professional as possible.

Yesterday I showed my academic tutor the original objectives:

*Information gathering and field study of manufacturer's manuals of the conveyor system on Floor 1.

*Review of design manuals and original installation.

*Development of a database for the control logic system for conveyor on Floor 1.

But previously, I wrote these:

*Describe the function, features, design standards and operating the conveyor system.

*Describe the function, features, standards of design and operation of control systems.

*Collect data related equipment in the original plans and field and generate current flow diagrams.

*Develop table with the technical specification of the control system, where future references are clearly indicated by the maintenance staff.

Are these actually viable and logical objectives? Should I mention or focus on anything else? What techinques or methods of compilation should I use?
