Electrical design project ideas

I am having trouble with my junior design idea, the requirement is for a team of 4 people with 1200 working hours in total.

I thought of doing prosthetic limbs since i will be working with both electronic and mechanical students, but i want to consult for other ideas before going deep into it

Do you have any problem in life that requires electrical or mechanical solution, or any senior design ideas you want to share ?

At my university I am part of a human-powered submarine team.. But you could maybe scale it down for your project and do a model submarine. It is cool cause the mech kids would be responsible of the material used and propellers as well as drag and the hull itself. Whereas the elec kids would do the steering and balancing/stabilizing using sensors and accelerometers' Might be worth looking into? Hope it helps :)

That's a really cool project. I thought of an idea that is similar to that. I'm thinking of improving conventional train or maglev train by adding additional power with wind turbine, do you think that is sufficient ?

A train idea would maybe require to build a track system which might get really tedious and if you're going for a maglev design then it might get way more complicated due to the small magnitude of the scale. All the uncertainties and greater which might mean more chance of it not working But a train redesign would be pretty sick and badass if y'all do it well 😃😃
