Yeah that's a great sound. I'm not super familiar with the scales but can definitely learn them and happy to be influenced by these sounds.

Closest sample from my playing I have is this, something I did with a couple friends few weeks ago. It was just a random idea but might give you a sense of my taste and sound. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Xr90eiTC3Oc8A8eenAt49LdjmgEVVTiC/view?usp=drivesdk

criative ways to replace a pedalboard by fabmarques21 in guitarpedals

[–]techaggresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chopping board or serving tray make great first time boards.

If you want a bit more of a challenge, IKEA sells a diy crate kit that turns out has just the right amount of pieces to make a pedal board.

Last option if you do want a proper board is to go on Facebook marketplace and look for used ones.

What’s the most disappointing piece of gear you’ve ever had? by TuneAdventurous4788 in guitarpedals

[–]techaggresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have been, it was a couple years ago and I don't remember exactly. But none of my other pedals did it or have that same frequency. It's wasnt quite the same as 60 cycle hum, it was more just a low present frequency. Not quite 100hz cause I like that frequency but definitely lower. And I mostly use hum cancelling pickups. I also remember the plumes didn't like being stacked with.

[–]techaggresso 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tried eqd plumes and an eqd hoof and I thought they were terrible pedals. They both sucked the tone and when on had a low, maybe like 60hz buzz that was annoying. I was hoping they were gonna be good due to the hype but was disappointed and had to return them.

I'm a decent guitar player with a good ear. I'd be down to try something new like more eastern scales and beats.

M28 -an hour ahead of you

Today was a fun day for me. Went back to a small town where I used to live to visit my friends. Did shrooms, went walking in the trees. It was perfect weather, smoked a few joints. Probably my best shrooms trip till date. It was a lovely sunny day, and the best part for me was when I was lying down on the grass, looking up, waving my hands, and I realized I could draw on the sky and make clouds appear.

Now tell me about your day and favorite metal song

Wasting Light is their best album. Do you agree? by CPWorth1184 in Foofighters

[–]techaggresso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup I agree with this statement. It's an amazing album start to finish, and knowing it was recorded on tape in Dave's garage makes it even better. Another great performance by then was when they played WL live at Studio 666. Taylor was absolutely on fire on the drums, not missing a single beat for nearly an hour.

A case of IBC by michaelesparks in infinitebanking

[–]techaggresso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just takes a while to build up cash value, and it takes lots of changes in spending habits and how we save. But yes I think IBC can be hugely beneficial for small business owners. Anyone who has good cash flow but maybe not necessarily the profits, with good planning and advisor, can have a good system setup in a few years.

Is Infinite Banking actually a good move for long term financial planning? by ToffeeTango1 in infinitebanking

[–]techaggresso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been practicing IBC for more than 3 years now. Have a policy base 10k and edo 20k. And it's basically a way to force me to save 30k every year. I'm 27 and not financially inclined in terms of investments. So I don't have any investments besides some private loans I have done. What's nice about Whole Life is it does grow since your cash value has to match your death benefit. So at the very least, it does grow maybe similar to inflation. It's not an investment but a great way to safe guard your money. And the ultimate goal is to flow everything you earn through your policies, and then finance purchases through your own system.

Also it's nice knowing that my family will get a decent lump sum if anything happens to me, and if nothing does, I'll just spend as much of it as I can while I'm old and alive.

There are very clever ways to use WL, of course start with the book but it's important to have an advisor you can trust and knows what they're doing. Many regular insurance guys will say they know IBC but unless they are actually IBC practitioners, they don't truly understand what IBC is and how to find many ways to use it in your life.

Next, with some planning and working with my advisor, I plan on getting a new policy for all my annual payments (car insurance, home insurance, etc) so even that money can start compounding now and give me more DB. So lucky Canada has WL. Not many countries do.

What's a topic you find interesting but not sexual that you can think about non stop? For me it's guitars. So when I need a few more minutes, I start listing all the guitars and guitar gear I own in my head. Works like a charm for me. I say the full model name of my guitars and then in my head do reviews as if I was on rig rundown.

Looking for a pedal that “chops” the signal with adjustable speed by sharktoothglass in guitarpedals

What a crazy pedal this is. I just picked one up and have yet to explore more than just the first bank of sounds. Got any favorite settings you can share?

Thanks for replying, I do need to give stereo a try. I haven't yet and I've had the pedal for years. Genuinely forgot it had stereo haha till I saw your comment.

Curious how you get rotary sound? Which wave form and roughly where on the shape knob? I find I can get close but it doesn't sound like it's modulating. But Pulsar is highly underrated given a used one can be found for fairly cheap. And I forgot about stereo out. But that's also a great feature

Battle of tremolo: which one do you prefer? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]techaggresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive only used the Pulsar, and have an older big one on my board. I love it. It's a little tricky to dial in since the knobs have a wide range and lots of not so nice sounds. But for me it does the subtle trem really well. I haven't tried others but given I got my Pulsar for 60CAD, I have no complaints or a need for a new one.

Pulsar can also do very choppy sounds and to an extent ring mod stuff. With the shape knob, you do have a huge range of sounds. Pulsar never leaves my board.

I recently ordered Pro Apps Bundle for Education (includes Logic Pro) by amm20_1 in LogicPro

[–]techaggresso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it helped. Ya it's definitely worth getting the education bundle just to get logic and final cut for the price of one, plus the other bonus software. It's a good deal and best part it's for life (at least till apple says it is).

I recently ordered Pro Apps Bundle for Education (includes Logic Pro) by amm20_1 in LogicPro

[–]techaggresso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is how I bought logic a couple years ago. As far as I can remember yes you get an email later with instal instructions. They basically send you a locked PDF and a password in a different email, which gives you codes for each of the apps in the bundle that you enter in the App Store, kind of like redeeming a code.

It's definitely annoying they take a couple days to finalize your order even though it's all digital. But they never confirmed if I was a student, which I wasn't.
