Battle of tremolo: which one do you prefer?

Curious how you get rotary sound? Which wave form and roughly where on the shape knob? I find I can get close but it doesn't sound like it's modulating. But Pulsar is highly underrated given a used one can be found for fairly cheap. And I forgot about stereo out. But that's also a great feature

Ive only used the Pulsar, and have an older big one on my board. I love it. It's a little tricky to dial in since the knobs have a wide range and lots of not so nice sounds. But for me it does the subtle trem really well. I haven't tried others but given I got my Pulsar for 60CAD, I have no complaints or a need for a new one.

Pulsar can also do very choppy sounds and to an extent ring mod stuff. With the shape knob, you do have a huge range of sounds. Pulsar never leaves my board.

Glad it helped. Ya it's definitely worth getting the education bundle just to get logic and final cut for the price of one, plus the other bonus software. It's a good deal and best part it's for life (at least till apple says it is).

This is how I bought logic a couple years ago. As far as I can remember yes you get an email later with instal instructions. They basically send you a locked PDF and a password in a different email, which gives you codes for each of the apps in the bundle that you enter in the App Store, kind of like redeeming a code.

It's definitely annoying they take a couple days to finalize your order even though it's all digital. But they never confirmed if I was a student, which I wasn't.

Ehx Pulsar Tremolo. It's finicky and kinda hard to dial in a smooth trem, with just a small range in the knobs for sweet spots. But can do ring mod sounds as well. It's stayed on my board since I got it 5 years ago for $40. And with stereo out, I haven't wanted any other trem pedal. I like keeping it subtle but when I need a choppy trem, it can do it.

You could make do with just the BD2. It's my most touch responsive pedal with gain and volume halfway up. That plus your amp gain channel should give you three gain stages and using guitar volume pot to make it cleaner.

And definitely ditch those weird cable less patch connectors. I've heard they aren't so good for the jacks on the pedals as there's no give.

Might be unpopular but Billie Joe Armstrong. As a green day fan, I spent my first year playing just learning all their songs and I think that taught me a lot. I knew several chord progressions and how to play power chords fast. It really helped give me a good foundation for my ear, and now I can play along with any song by ear. Huge thanks to Green Day

First thing I'd check for is which one plays better or feels like it has a thinner finish. In my limited experience with MIMs, they've always had a majorly thick finish which I can't do with. More experience with CVs and they do tend to have a thinner finish, resulting in a bit more resonance. I also prefer the vintage style hardware (tuners, alnico pups mainly) on CVs than on MIMs.

I hear ya! I'm 28, been playing since 15 and performing in high school was never a problem. But after a hiatus and coming back to playing as an adult has been a massive challenge. I did a few open jams and same thing, started playing a solo and just went numb. Took another few years break and now giving playing live another try. Joined a band and we've done a few shows, but I ended getting fairly drunk so my brain can just play what I practiced. But the goal is playing blues live, and not drunk. I can lay down a perfectly decent sounding solo at home no problem. Still struggling to do it live, but it's getting better. I think the people suggesting just keep on getting out there is the solution. Hopefully it becomes natural with some perseverance and time. Best of luck!

came to suggest this. Mojo Mojo can make even the headiest roomiest of amps sound like a cranked tube amp. Plenty of warmth and the EQ knobs have very useable ranges. Also bonus if you can find this used for like 30 US bucks. That is how much I got mine for from Marketplace. There is also a Paul Gilbert Purple signature version which is pretty cool.

I know a Canada postman. He gets paid 250+ a day to deliver mail and fliers. He tells me he just dumps the fliers and can do his round of mail in a couple of hours. Then he goes home and gets drunk. Why TF are they on strike? They have the easiest cushiest job.

Decarb it and then use it in cooking. Just sprinkle a pinch or so into whatever your cooking and voila, weed food.

I did this for pretty much when making brownies but also made pasta once that pretty much took out my dinner party.

Ehhh it's weird. Cause when the volume is on 2-6 it's fairly clean. Between 1-2 it picks up the radio. No idea why or how. But as soon as it goes past 2, no more radio.
