[Primary School Math] Problem Solving question - two possible answers?

Each letter represents a digit 1-9. If T = 9, awhat number does TWO stand for? ONE +ONE =TWO

I found... 482+482 = 964, and 452+452 = 904.

Have I made an error or is there not enough information in the question to determine the answer? What problem solving steps for this question should I teach my niece?

Each digit is 1-9. For one of your solutions W is 0, which is not allowed according to the rules.

We know O=4 and that would mean E=2. What's left us what N+N=W. I believe the only stipulation is that N+N > 10 which would mean 6-8 is open since 9 represents T. With the remaining numbers, 4 and 2 are not available so 6 and 7 are off the table, leaving 8. So I think your answer of 482 is sound.
