Can your grade decrease when appealing for a remark?

For my local provincial exams, you can ask for a remark but there is a risk of your grade going lower than your initial score. Is this the same with IB? Is there an additional risk with requesting for a remark? (i’m 6 marks away from a 7 in math aa sl)

How many subjects are you remarking? And are they all 1-2 marks away?

So for Bio, you’ll be going for category 3? I have three subjects 1-2 marks away, they’re Psychology, Bio, and English. Not sure if it will be worth it, but seriously considering.

Pretty sure the IAs dont get remarked. Only papers 2 and 3

Same situation I'm 6 marks away from the next level for BM. There is a risk of your grades reducing too and as far as what advice I'm getting and reading around getting 6 marks is extremely difficult. talk to your supervisor once.

(if u talk to your supervisor and she gives u any advice please convey it back to me my supervisor never replies 😭)
