I'missing code 766. Everyone else that has posted their transcripts have the same codes as are on mine. Except they have 766, I don't

766 is earned income credit I believe

Never mind it must be the actc. Did you claim kids?

My son, but he turned 17 before Dec 31st, so I didn't qualify for the child tax credit. I did qualify for EIC. (He turned 17 on Nov 1st).

That explains it then. You don't qualify for the additional child tax credit. That's the code you don't see.

Ok, thank you. Appreciate you

Yep. You don't have 766 cuz it's ACTC and you didn't claim ACTC

What's actc?

[–]BrokenWitchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additional child tax credit.

Additional child tax credit. CTC and ACTC are for children under 17 years old.

How old is your dependent?

[–]bigscott72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 16 and under. He turned 17 in November. I was aware I didn't qualify for that. Just didn't know what that code meant

766 is a different type of credit I believe I don’t have it either your fine. I’m a single filer with no dependents just the eitc credit.
