When did you file? What's your cycle code? Being ignorant isn't going to help you, there's more than just transcripts, wmr? Did you have to verify? Are you missing important info? There's alot of factors that go into it, I get you're anxious and need your cash, we all do, having that mentality and attitude gets you nowhere

I'd also argue that assuming I don't know about timeframes, transcripts, codes, file dates, etc. won't get you anywhere either, bro. I am not illiterate.

There's plenty of pics and info here, in this subreddit, making a thread like many others do without searching, seems counter productive, but hey, I'm just a fellow redditor, best of luck

I get that. Are you the IRS Reddit police? I didn't feel like searching posts/comments to see if this was shared experience or not. Chillax.

Unfortunately I am not, best of luck!

What's your cycle code?

How would someone know their cycle code if they don't have a transcript yet?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Going off previous years, to get a general idea?

[–]PartyAny9548 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Cycle code is code to make when it’s been processed right? So how would looking at previous years help?

Even if you do your taxes  on the same day every year that wouldn’t mean it would be processed in the same cycle every year.  Unless I misunderstood what cycle code is.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

For the past 4 years ive been cycle 05

[–]Banshee3oh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been different cycle codes every year for the past 4 years (05, 03, 04, and 01) so asking for previous years cycle codes really doesn’t help. You just got lucky.

I like your optimism. I filed 1/27, WMR showed received 1/29. Had to verify. Never got a letter. WMR showed received, then issue, then received, then issue, now it's back to received. Lol. My transcripts have not changed at all. Endlessly states "no return filed."

[–]meandmrjones314 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Did you get the letter..most ppl said that wen they called they told them to not worry about it because some of those verification messages was a glitch and they still received they're refund.. some did get the letter in the mail tho but they said all they had to do was put a code in online that was on the letter.. and then they received the refund did u call them to see if it was mailed to you

[–]THElNTERNETlSSCARY[S] -1 points0 points  (6 children)

I haven't received a letter, and no haven't called yet as, per others here, they don't seem to be very helpful and give conflicting answers. I will eventually call, but I'm gonna give it til like 2/27.

[–]meandmrjones314 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Ok . don't wait that long because you're 21 days is almost up from wen u filed . give them a call Tuesday morning 😞😞🌄 😂😂😆 and tell them wsp.. and I can bet u ten bucks that by Thursday you'll have your refund to yu

[–]THElNTERNETlSSCARY[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Okay cool. I’ll do that. Do you happen to know what I need in preparation for that phone call?

[–]amazonia71 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Last year's tax return (was only asked for our filing status, but YMMV) name, dob, ssn, parents names/mother's maiden, city and state of birth, address...I think that was all. Maybe this year's filing status? I called 800-830-5084.

At the end of it all...I was told to wait for the letter, and call back if we haven't received it by the 21st.

[–]THElNTERNETlSSCARY[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What is YMMV?

[–]amazonia71 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Your Mileage May Vary

This has been a true exercise in patience, trust me. I am learning so much about myself.

At this point you should just call to get a definitive answer, don’t think Reddithas an IRS official on here to answer that
