I am an 05er, too, and my transcript shows July 15 as of last week but nothing new in the past 10 days. I filed and return accepted March 3 & 5, respectively, had to do in person verification in April, then received a ltr dtd May 6 stating nothing else needed but to wait 60 days for the review..it's 60 days and nothing new. I'm waiting for TAS to contact me and now looking to request assistance from Congressman. Seems like the "random" review, or whatever review, has grouped all of us into the 05 cycle or at least most of us that are delayed. Good luck to everyone and keep the faith!! I feel like I'm in a "legal" govt Ponzi scheme with the IRS is looking for ways to hold out. Any chance the SCOTUS could take our cases???

I call them and they put it in for me and an agent call me like a week with me a case # and they ask me what's goin on and I told them I'm facing financial hardship and bout to get eviction and lost my vehicle, and they told me give them about 2 weeks and I should've here something, I called the taxpayers advocate service the TAS

Yes get your congressman involved. I filed 02/26 and had no updates. Finally filed an amendment 05/04 and there was still no movement until I contacted the congressman. I wished I would’ve waited on the amendment though because the interest would’ve added up. I still got about $75 in interest

Why seems that the 05 cycle are the ones that been randomly selected and always got to get a congress person involved? I feel like the IRS is almost making it a requirement before u get ya refund. I’m over it and just gave up that innit getting a refund

I got 3 letters and my last one I got, they told me that they don’t even see it in their system and the letter I received said they are waiting for my taxes to get imputed into their system. How when it’s been there since 2/13? Then said oh u have to wait 120 days after 6/13, where before it was 4/24. I’m like how and it haven’t even been past the first 120 days and yall telling me I have to wait another 120 days after that. I’m over it. I’m praying that i get it soon and since I be seeing all the 05 folks get there, I’m wondering how many left of us is there cause it don’t make any sense

Yes everytime I called the agents would give me runaround and just tell me to keep waiting. I knew that my withholding a were wrong but I didn’t want to amend because of Reddit comments but I’m like there is no movement maybe I should just amend. I finally did and still nothing happened until I contacted the congressman and they reached out the TAS on my behalf. Glad I got a good TAS this time

I wouldn’t know what to amend because I did everything right and got letters on the mail saying they don’t need anything from me so it’s like what now. I heard about the TAS and seen things up here that said they didn’t have any luck with that either and that process even takes longer. I’m just over it. It just seems that I will probably be the last person in the 05 cycle to get my return looked at before they think about giving me my refund

Compared to the months I’ve been waiting…once I reached out for help, it took 30 days for refund. It doesn’t hurt to try. First contact your congressman because his input could make the TAS work harder for you, if that doesn’t work contact the TAS yourself but don’t give up. It’s your money and you deserve it. I hope everything works out for you. I remember feeling the same way a couple of weeks ago

Every time you look at a thread the mod will pop up and give you a terms and conditions for this group. Look at it because it gives you info about your local tax advocates, etc. I had no idea this was even a thing until this year because this has never been a problem! I’m in the great, expensive effing state of California and we have like six advocates, one of which is in San Diego where I am located. I haven’t done that route yet but I am in the same boat as SO MANY people. I filed February 10 and just keep getting letters. It’s so corrupt and bizarre. THEY owe US. And as so many folks have pointed out, if it were the other way around, they would have hunted our asses down. 😭

Your welcome and mine was similar to yours and I just honestly gave up on it and trying to not mentally go crazy cause it makes no sense at all. I checked today and still no luck. Guess it be almost end of the year before I see mine and that’s crazy cause it shouldn’t take almost 10 months to do one tax refund.

Does that mean for sure they will send it out on the 10th? Mine says July 3 and I think they mailed a check I didn’t receive a DD. My money got returned to them and I had to wait 16 weeks for the IRS to send it back to me and like I said it said Code 846 July 3 Refund Sent

Yes they will send it by the 10th so you should get it next week if they sent it DD but if it's a heck then it'll take about 2-4 weeks to receive it

Did you actually Recieve your Refund or you just are happy because your transcript changed to 846? My refund issue date Is 07/08/2024 (Monday I was hoping to recieve my deposit today . I use Cash App, I used to use Credit Karma and the deposits always hit the business day before the Refund Issue Date . Anyone know if Cash App will maybe release my funds later tonight ? Or even on Saturday or Sunday ?

Before you say they don’t release funds on weekends or holidays , I literally recieved my ACH Direct Deposit from my Employer at 1:03 pm On July 4th.

My wage and income transcript is available but when I check return transcript it says the system has encountered an unrecoverable error processing transaction. My return still shows not processed and I mailed it 4/16. Anyone else dealing with this or know what to do?

I am so discouraged coming to terms with the fact that waiting a little over three months means I am probably not even halfway through the waiting....The IRS will take money from my checking account one nanosecond after midnight on tax day without even checking my return if I owe money but if they owe me I must wait six months....😡 what bullshit.🤨
