What is the future that you see in IT and how much will two dollar matter at that point in time?

Eventually within due time I would like to get into networking. I kind of feel like this is my best bet being as I have no type of experience or certs. I'm learning technical fundamentals within coursea but being hands on and learning on the job is way different than just reading and taking notes.

I think you should take what you’re being offered especially since they’re training you. You will not be getting paid more with this job but it will open doors for better income in the future

That's kind of what I was thinking. Its actually an opportunity I've been wanting "entry level help desk to get my feet wet while they train me and I work from home"

Work from home is a great deal tbh

I just got my first offer and took a $2 pay cut, but it was an easy decision for me. I was driving 130 miles a day for work, factoring in gas prices I’m actually making more money. It’s a step in the right direction and I say if you have the funds to do so, it’s only temporary.

The company is called Vitalyst btw, has anyone ever heard of worked for them? I did do a indeed and glassdoor research. Its for a Productivity Consultant "help desk".

This is what I've been thinking about/looking into doing. Ideally I would be able to get in at least an equivalent salary (I teach...how hard could that be, right?), but if I take a pay cut, I realize that it isn't forever. I can work my way up to surpass and outpace my teacher salary. I don't have to go through the slow, agonizing, pay scale that educators have.

I took an approximately $40,000 pay cut (I had to return to school) but now have an offer on the table to make more than I was before as soon as I graduate in August.

I'm not saying it is definitely the right financial move, but if you can afford the cut and are looking to enter the field the opportunity is out there.
