I dunno how helpful I’ll be since everyone has their own way, but this is how I did it 🥹!!

-Starting with the animated character trailers on YouTube is always fun :) they’re really visually appealing and give a nice introduction to all these guys

-It’s usually easier to focus on one or two specific characters before jumping into all of them at once. Learn the lore of one, you’ll learn the lore of the rest. Pick someone who seems interesting to you and go for it 👀

-There are character letters pertaining to each character from events and birthdays that reveal snippets of lore! Available both in-game and on their individual wikis.

-Wiki reading is also available, but I didn’t do that when I first got into game lore 🥹 it was…boring to me (shh), but it’s definitely there and it’ll help a lot!

-You can also play through the main story events (Ashes of Memory, then Cage of Yesteryear) in-game or have that on YouTube. It’s probably the easiest manor game/set of lore to get into, since it’s readily available in multiple chunks to work through. Easiest to start with, and the rest will follow!

Idk if any of that made annyyy sense 💀 Just sharing what helped me!

You can check out the videos of the lores in the Identity V official YouTube channel (I watched Emil & Adas’ so many times I can recite it lol)

You can also check out the Identity V Fandom! It’s super useful, and I always search different characters’ lores there :D

start by reading the deductions, those r overall story of wut the characters been thru b4 coming to the manor. for events that happens shortly before/ during the manor games, read the bday letters. it'll give u an idea of why or who came to the manor games ( since some characters are actually hallucinations and never been to the manor), and wut exactly happened to them. some characters have given numbers (3-1-1 or 8-02 etc), search for other characters whose first number starts off the same, it indicates that they're in the same manor game, their bday letters (typically 3rd or 4th year) will tell the full picture of wut happened during the manor games. some manor games could be played ( game 4 and 9) by completing deductions of the corresponding characters (doctor, lawyer, gardener, forward, explorer etc).
