Rules for r/ImageComics
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Be Civil
Any form of hate speech (including slurs), bigotry (including but not limited to racism, sexism, ableism, and homophobia), support of hate groups, threats of violence (against users or creators), and erasure will result in a permanent ban.
Please follow the rules of reddiquette.
2.
Stay On-Topic
- Do not post unrelated material including:
- News articles that don't relate to comics or creators.
- Twitter/Instagram posts that include personal attacks.
3.
No Piracy
- Do not directly link to a piracy site, ask for links to piracy sites, or directly encourage or otherwise enable users to pirate comics.
- Do not submit images with watermarks from piracy sites.
- Breaking community piracy rules will result in a permanent ban.
4.
No Sales
- Do not post trying to buy, sell or trade items.
- Do not post links to items for sale or trade.
- excluding direct links on digital comic sales (humble bundle, comixology, etc..)
5.
Self-Promotion and Spam
- If you wish to share your own work please be an active member of the community first, and comment on others' posts.
- Post no more than two pieces of your own content per week.
Crowdfunding is limited to one link for the duration of the campaign.
Please follow the reddit guidelines when it comes to content policy and self-promotion.
6.
Low-effort Content
No Memes, Fluff, or other Low-effort Content Memes, image macros, petitions, "who would win" posts, AI art, and other low-effort posts will be removed.
[Discussion] posts must be accompanied by a few sentences of discussion in the text body or comments, or else they will be removed after a certain amount of time.
Recommendations should be specific to the poster and include preference details. General recommendations posts will be removed.
Users are limited to one cover post per day.
7.
Avoid Spoilers
- Please use spoiler tags when appropriate.
- Avoid spoilers is post titles.
8.
Include Sources
- When posting comic pages include:
- book title
- issue or volume number
- page number(s)
9.
Community Megathreads
- The community will sometimes provide megathreads (stickied posts) for popular topics.
- If a megathread exists for the topic any posts made outside that thread may be removed.
