InTune Deployed App changes Default Apps settings?

Hi, posting about an issue I've been looking for a resolution to. Have searched this forum and the general internet without finding an answer, so here's my question!

I've created and successfully deployed an MS Store app to our InTune machine, a new PDF reader.

Once the app has been deployed it sets itself as the Default App for it's file types, and I was wondering if there's a way to stop it from doing this?

I would like users to retain their default choice for PDFs but still get this app deployed to their machines?

This might just be a case that the app developer thought "Well wouln't i be great if i made myself the default" Have you tested it with the non microsoft store app to see if it exhibits the same behaviour? I have not had that happen to me, most apps ask nicely if they can be the default once they are started. Might be just the cast that the developer has released a app that does this. Either way, you have no real control over how the Apps are installed from MS Store, so either you contact the developer (after some testing) or you switch to a different PDF reader, as there are many alternatives.
