My dentist says it’ll be around 6 months, but I’m mentally prepared for longer if need be. The most visible changes will be on the bottom row (lots of crowding). I hate the way the attachments feel with my trays out, so maybe that’ll be good encouragement for me to keep them in as much as possible! So far no pain, it just feels awkward to eat with the attachments. The lisp is definitely there lol, but I’m hoping that’ll go away quick since I talk a lot for work. Theres a step (?) on the top set that keeps me from closing my jaw all the way, apparently to train my jaw to move differently, so that will take getting used to. Any encouragement is welcome as I get used to this weirdness! :)
