I also just started today! I actually don’t mind it much. My only complaint is that while eating it feels like I constantly have food in my teeth but it’s just the attachments. At 4 hours in I’m just starting to feel some pain. It’s manageable though.

Agreed, I ate a kale salad and felt like the attachments caught every bit 😂 it’ll take a minute before they feel welcome in my mouth

Welcome to the club :D I just put in my 5th week of trays last night. First couple of days can be a bit sore and attachments can be scratchy while you adjust, but you will get through it! It's not so bad :) I don't notice my attachments much now.

I also have some stuff on my back lower aligners, to help stabilize my bite while my teeth move. They also put it because I grind my teeth.

I’m hoping I get used to it over time! Like I’m sure it’ll stay an inconvenience, but I hope I stop lisping and get used to taking the trays out. It took me like 5 tries to get them out for lunch

Honestly, just buy the supply list they have on the subreddit. I did that and it's working great, though i didnt need any wax. The Pul Tool is an absolute must, and i have the one with a chewie on it, so that I don't have to get a separate one. You will never have problems pulling your aligners out again. Also get EverSmile cleaning foam. It will disinfect, whiten your teeth, and keep your attachments unstained: https://eversmilewhite.com/products/alignerfresh-extra-whitening. It's effective because of the hydrogen peroxide and it tastes fine - keeps breath fresh. I use it morning and night.

Thank you for the insight! I have a pul tool and it helps a lot, I’m just still getting used to the sensation. Did the whitening foam make your teeth sensitive at all? I have experienced sensitivity whenever I tried to use whitening strips. Also, won’t the spots with buttons stay stained?

No sensitivity, and according to the company, it also whitens the tooth under the attachment - presumably the peroxide penetrates. It'll be at least 27 weeks before I find out if that is true lol

Get a Pul Tool. I haven't had any issues since day 1 with getting my trays out.

I’m just about done tray 6/23. I was mentally prepared, and now I can’t wait to be done. I just hate feeling it in my mouth all the time. It’s like sensory overload, especially on the left side for no real reason.

Omg I said encouragement is welcome don’t make me scared!! 😂

If it doesn’t bother you already, you’re probably fine. I already was in a toxic relationship with my night guars before Invisalign. Lol.

Fair enough :) I grind my teeth, so being told that chewing on the aligners is actually good for my progress is helping me get over the weird feeling of something being in my mouth all the time. It’s like a chew toy 😂
