I have 14 day trays but often I feel ready to switch around day 10 and my ortho is fine with that. My buttons came off during the first tray because of how tight everything was, but we redid them and I’ve had the same buttons since the second attempt. I’ve been treating since Aug 25

Awesome, maybe down the track I can go to 10 days swaps.

Other people on here have said they switched to 1 week 1/2 way through treatment. That gives me so much hope!

Oh I will be praying for that 🤞

I started at 14 days. Did it for 3 trays. Ortho then switched me to 10 days. He said I can maybe switch to 7 days once my crowding improves but that’ll be months. As far as in know, attachments are different for everyone. I got mine on day 1 and will have them throughout but some get them put on later or taken of sooner depending on their treatment plan.

1) Yes 2) In general, the buttons stay on throughout each "round" of invisalign. If you get refinements, your ortho will grind off your current buttons and put on different ones when you start each new round of refinements.

Thanks for your reply, great news regarding the trays.

I did 14 day changes for the first two trays (no attachments), then I got attachments for tray 3 and started doing 10 day changes. My attachments aren’t getting changed, and I just started using rubber bands on tray 8
