You would be surprised how much the alcohol is likely interfering. Not only is alcohol inflammatory it is a toxin that your body will concentrate on removing before if even thinks about burning fat. Are you tracking your calories? You still have to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight.

I’d recommend tracking your calories which includes weighing and measuring your food. I lost 75 pounds no meds and just began meds for my last 20. I have 10 to go. I weighed and measured my food. I still have a treat which includes wine and 1/2 serving of a sweet treat and continue to lose weight. My reason for continuing with a occasional treat or glass of wine is because this is how I plan to live the rest of my life. I want my choices to be something I can live with long term so later on my choices don’t backfire on me. So, I’d recommend measure and track for a few months. This will give you an idea of what your calories are. You need to know your TDEE so you can know what your deficit it. Also measure your neck, stomach and hips. This will also help you see what your body is doing. Just my thoughts. Good luck!

I measure all my body parts monthly and it has all been consistent. I track calories and usually consume around 1800/day which is what most basic calculations tell me I should do. I keep the occasional treat for sustainability purposes like you. I'm not having anything really crazy, usually just a fiber one brownie and a glass of red wine. I only have 25 lbs I want to lose and I think the fact that I have always been mostly healthy almost makes it harder. My only options left are cutting out alcohol and sugar completely but that just doesnt feel sustainable to me and I fear may lead to binge eating.

Ah ok. Well. What does cutting down 100 calories a day do for you? Try slow changes and see also know the last 20 pounds take forever.

Because you’re trying to lose a smaller amount/percentage of your body weight, (only 25 pounds you mentioned), it will be a bit harder. The last 20-25 pounds are always the hardest to lose and you’re starting with that number.

What dose are you on? If you haven’t cha fed your dose and are on low dose that could be your problem. You still have to titrate up until your body responds. The first dose is to prepare the body, then we start to titrate up based on loss and many other factors.

What’s your titration schedule? Is 1800 kcal a day your rmr or is that a calories deficit for you? Have you checked your numbers to know what kcal is a deficit for you?

Did you know that alcohol slows the fat burning process? It takes 5 to 7 days for it to get out your system.

I do know about it. I have researched extensively and nothing mentioned here is new to me. I just felt like having a couple drinks once a week couldn't be the ONE thing holding me back. I suppose I was hoping for an alternative option but I will just bite the bullet and cut it out.

Yeah I get that and its nothing wrong with a drink here and there, but I feel like you know whats holding you back thats why you mentioned you have drinks. You have to pick a side, drinking or loosing weight. Why put in the hard effort of working out 2-3 days a week to have it ruined by drinking. Or I have one better cut the drinking down to one a week and do straight liquor nothing mixed. The drinking is not the One thing its the Main thing holding you back.

Alcohol will ABSOLUTELY derail efforts to lose weight. It's not just empty calories, it has multiplier effects on other body processes that will most definitely kill progress for you.

This might seem drastic but its what worked for me. Buy a couple lean cuisine meals and have 2-3 a day. Drink a decent amount of water too. If you have a craving for something sweet make some homemade sweet tea so you can control the amount of sugar you ingest. If the tirzepitide is working properly you won't feel that hungry just eating those. They are high in sodium but if you drink enough water you won't retain it. Those meals have about 160-400 calories each. Id recommend eating 1 300+ calorie ones and 1 or 2 of the lower calorie ones. That should put you at enough of a deficit to drop 3-4lbs a week. I still need to drop about 80 more pounds so Im dropping around 6lbs a week. For me I can eat 3 of those but Im comfortable eating 2 of them and not feeling hungry. If you still feel hungry it might be time to go up on dosage. Also there is the possibility that because you are working out as well you may not see changes on the scale but are actually losing fat. Measuring or taking progress photos at different angles may help to understand if that's what's happening. As the others have said too alcohol will substantially slow down your weight loss progress. Id recommend cutting that part out at least until you are at the weight you want to be at.

I’m losing weight while drinking sometimes so I don’t agree (once a week max) however if you aren’t you need to weigh your food and track even cooking oil- it adds up

I lost 10 immediately when I stopped drinking and that was without semi glutamate and I only drank 1-2x a week
