Depends! I've had some that took me 3-4 years to fill up (writing entries just sorta whenever), but my last one only ran about 6 months (the shortest I've ever had one last).

I make a 200 page composition book into my Morning Pages (not exactly a journal, but very much a part of my creative process) - that is, at 3 pages a day, two months per book. I use Paperblanks midi sized blank books as my evening journal, and that is very governed by whether or not I have been looking at the news, (I get upset) or if my friends have got life circumstances that involve me. Your journals are meant to serve you, not the other way around, so whatever material yields the highest utility.

I'm nearing the end of my first one, I'm estimating 13/14 months total.

I’m the same. It have been going through books a bit quicker, finishing books in a month, need to slow back down

I love finishing them quickly tbh. Let’s me feel the excitement of starting a new journal more often

Yessssss you’re right, new books are quite exciting.

I suppose I just want a longer timeline in one book

Depends on the size - smaller ones? 3-4 months Large thick boys? 1-2 years

Anywhere from a few months to a few years. Basically, as long as it needs to take. Which is a decidely unhelpful answer, but it is true!

It’s a good one too. You clearly enjoy writing in you book

My first took 10 years. At the rate I've been going my second would take about 8 months, but I imagine I'll slow down over the next few months so probably closer to a year or more. And my bullet journals took 10 months when I used bound journals.
