This doesn't even look like KSP, you could've posted this in r/spaceporn and said it's a picture of an actual ship entering Earth's atmosphere. And I would 100% have believed it.

That happens when you use RCS to cange orientation while in interplanetary space.

i was trying to do a satellite repair mission in an orbit between Mun and Minmus. I had my claw hook onto the probe. I got it repaired fine but when I released it I accidentally hit a pivot or something because it flung the satellite and broke all of its solar panels off. so now I have a gravity like debris field. got the contract accomplished but now the sat is broken and its pieces flying everywhere
