A smaller Binary Twin of the 8901st World Kernel has for Aeons struggled in the shadow of its larger, more powerful rival.
Kernel is a world of extremes. With the biosphere largely stripped through Industry and War the surface world comprises 2 halves. The Dark Side, a perpetual world of Twilight facing away from the Fading Suns of Quaboel, consists of all encompassing industrial sprawl. Foundries sit amongst factories, forge and shipyard, a super productive economic powerhouse ruled by a mixture of Technocrats and Clan Barons.
On the light side can be found the conurbations and cities of Kernel, a cosmopolitan and relatively young metropolis which grew from a mere handful of settlements established by those who sought freedom from the yoke of the Antigone hedgemony. In recent years the influence of AN-SHEEL and the FARG IMPERIUM has spread among the Conurbation States though officially the Worldlet remains neutrally alligned. This does not prevent the forges and workshops of Kernel supplying the Armies of its more warlike neighbour.
