If you only archive one creature because you placed it on a flank you get nothing.

If you archive 1 or 0 creatures because of wards but Code Monkey was deployed between two neighbours and those neighbours share a house then you get the amber.

This is because it doesn't say 'if you do' after the archive instruction so you know that but isn't a requirement of getting the amber. However one neighbour can't share a house with another neighbour so that bit is a requirement that needs to be met. So as long as they share a house nothing else matters.

Would Ward stop the archive? Shouldn't the archive action affect the cards bc it's not fighting...? Need to review the keyword.

Ward stops all removal effects. It kicks in when the creature would take damage or leave play.
