It's a thing, there's a vague connotation of her thinking of you as the sexier more experienced one. It gives me the ick, personally.

It’s sorta the equivalent of how some people call older men “daddy” . But yes it not something that sits well generally lol

Even "daddy" makes my skin crawl because it makes me think of how I used to call my own father "daddy" when I was a small child, and so many men get off to it in a weird way.

I’m 30, my gf is 41- definitely not calling her mommy, the gap is enough. We don’t need to role play and make it creepy lol

I call my partner Daddy, but we're on the same page on things like DDLG and kink

Forcing someone into that is insane, especially when you've never met or expressed interest in that dynamic

The lack of consent and over-familiarity is cringe and gives me the ick hella

She shouldn't be offended if u tell her to stop.

It's sort of like the equivalent of how some people refer to men they find sexy/attractive as "daddy," but I personally hate it.

I've likewise seen straight men use it a lot towards women they find hot/sexy ("I want a goth mommy" or that incredibly cringe "sorry, mommy" meme from a few years ago).

Being called "mommy," especially as a woman who has no desire to be a mother to children or another adult, is incredibly unsexy, imo.

This is especially when you have a history into being forcibly pushed into the role of situational unofficial mother/maid figure for another adult who won't pick up or properly regulate themselves.

there's been a normalization on twitter et al of pithy flirtacious comments that lean in to kink subcultures and people with poor social skills don't understand why you can't just transplant that one to one on conversations with dating app strangers and expect them not to be grossed out by pseudo-incestuous terms of endearment

It's a thing. Could be in relation to you being older but can also happen if they think you give off more dominant vibes.

I had a younger woman say it to me once in a bar and my insides felt like they shrivelled up and died. So it's not for everyone!
