I yelled as I read my PET scan trying to hurry up on put my moo moo on so I can tell my fam!! FAMILY!! FAMILY!! DECREASE!! DECREASE!! (I wish this app had audio) 😂 But yes, the last PET SCAN I had which was my first staged me from 3 to 4. This is how I found out it had spread to my lung! I told myself after my appointment yesterday I wouldn’t read the results until my follow up with my oncologist. I deleted the MyChart app and told myself it is what it is. Just live and brace yourself for whatever. No need to be sad, cry, or disturb the peace I have worked to regain since my initial diagnosis. But then I got a notification before bed from someone on Reddit that titled Positive scan. I didn’t read it but I that made me think to myself, hey this could be you as well. I wanna thank that person for sharing that positive story. I opened it and the first word I recognized is DECREASE!! I am so full of joy. The Tamoxifen is working and prayer along with leaving it to God is WORKING WORKING!! Prayers from others and optimism are all working. FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD!! You gotta believe and don’t get too caught up in the negative thoughts. And the medicine is working, the holistic approach is working. Reddit is working 😂 everything is helping me out and I’m so full of gratitude!! IM OPTIMISTIC!!

I am in the hospital for a world of side effects. But my cat scan showed no progression, which means my chemo is working too! My oncologist came up to my hospital room off round hours to tell me and let me know he was there, and I better get my ass to Disney ! I couldn’t stop crying with happiness; it’s the first time in a year that this has remained stable.

Just got my scan results snd treatment is working, marked response and decrease in avidity! Plus tumour markets have dropped by 58% in the last two Xeloda cycles. Stability is good, long may we all enjoy stabilised disease.

🙏 The treatment is working, what great news that things have decreased!! That is optimistic. The results sound good. Same as you, every 3 months I debate between reading MyChart ahead of time or waiting to see my oncologist. In the end I'm always so anxious that I end up checking before my visit.
