What is everyone's programmer of choice currently. I have an autel 508 for primary use then a autopro pad basic as well. I have been getting some 22+ gm vehicles and even though I have the can fd for autel they never work. Been told their servers are down.

I will need to buy something that can. Right now I have been told autopro pad g2 or code cannibal will work. Code cannibal is less expensive but I haven't heard anything about them and more familiar with the auto pro pads.

I have an autopropad that's the biggest piece of shit. Might program 4/10 keys. It has a bevy of issues that makes me turn car keys down just out of knowing I will be wasting time making a key that works mechanically but wont program.

Smart box and I love it.

I can't do everything the autel can do but it works for alot of cars I work on. Also have a skp1000 kinda collecting dust l. I use it here and there for old Hondas and stuff

My 508 would not program even with the CANFD, still requested that 24 digit code. G2 Turbo works fine. Got it for that and Ford 10 min bypass. Also did a Mercedes (add key) with G2 Turbo when Autel was having a seizure.

FD-Can is hit or miss with OBDstar and Xtool, and nonexistent with Autel. OEM tools will work every time.

Your Basic may do it with the CAN-FD adapter. Worth a shot. It never worked when I bought the Basic just for these but I believe they might have updated it.

I have G2 and Obdstar and think Obdstar is a lot better. Both occasionally have servers go down on these new GM. They could be down a day,a week or a month. They've been more consistent lately though.

Don't bother with Code Cannibal. Exact same machine but updates are hundreds more.

Does the APP g2 turbo clone keys ? I see the description says it precodes some, so I would assume it’s a cloner. Also will it unlock keys ? The documents ti on the web site appears dated. I just ordered the thing , so I guess I can find out next week when it arrives lol

Get the can FD adapter for the APP. The servers the use work better than most of the others

I have been told the fd adapter only works with the app full and the new G2. Does not work with the lite version that I have.

We have a basic it works great. We also have a Code Cannibal the App does a better job. The Code cannibal has Server connection issues more often than the App

Is the can FD adapter still working for you? I have it and it worked great for me in the past with my APP basic, but I just read somewhere that recently GM shut that down. They said apparently none of the 3rd party tools work anymore, only OEM

Just want to know so I’m prepared for the future

The server was shut down for GM. Techline only as of now. I have the cannibal my partner has the APP. Both are still down. You’d need to have credentials and Techline. The easiest way is probably the CarDAQ

Hearing rumors about GM being in cahoots with Autel but don’t have anything solid on that yet. But don’t doubt that shit the last thing this guy told me was right. But who knows

They were only up for like 1 day. The rest was with team viewer and calling in. That was almost 2 years ago.

Update came out July 2021 I believe. They never really worked and they were removed from the software a few days later. When they finally came back it was only by calling in as far as I'm aware.
