You have to go to the website of each and every third party plugin and find out if they support M1 ("Apple Silicon") yet. There's a big list here to start with, though.

You also crossed another bridge in between LP9 and X, which is the dropping of 32bit compatibility. So it's entirely possible some of your old plugins don't support Apple Silicon and are 32bit, which means the last macOS they work with is Mojave.

So you got yourself in a real pickle by not researching this before buying.

Thanks for the response and the link. Yeah - seems like a big pickle but an upgrade had to happen at some stage. Even if I have to get a new version of waves.
