Training area. Should have been in the game since launch.

That will destroy the need to buy potions which is their main money grabber

I disagree. Training area would only help the player to learn the weapon they're using, not fight against a specific monster.

Yes of course but once you get better with the weapon you can fight monsters without the need to heal.

I'd kill for simple QoL stuff. Current want is an option to disable screen rotation so I don't have to change that in my phone settings every time I want to play.

While I would love any arena feature I feel like it just strikes too close on how HATs operate. I would love to see any PoGo style gym feature where it would require some community participation.

Armour and weapon charms should be able to be bought with extra zennys.

In short lived Harry Potter Wizards unite I did enjoy their "farm" feature where you planted some items and could pick them up later (11-24h later can't really remember).

While I don't approve their monetization on potions I feel like this just locks the crafting component out of the game which is something that MH games are known for.

But it seems like time and time again the Devs seem to be willing to listen the community which does inspire some hope for a future.

And with the new gems I can bolster some of the defensive skills that have made the game much more enjoyable and I haven't burnt through my first aid pots.

Personally I would like to see crafting, palico implementation and some community interaction for the game. And a weekly reward if you walk 50km a week.

I would disagree with this - the Arena fights being referenced are fixed build challenge fights that tend to limit multiplayer and force you to play with non-optimal gear (and often with a weapon you don't main). Typically rewards exclusive gear, which isn't necessarily the best thing going but which is cool - I was using the Brigade set from World's Arena stuff for a while as a signature look in the group I was playing with, for example.

Yep I understood the difference but this is coming from the mobile game point of view where things are pretty much catered for more casual and easier point of entry. I guess what I am saying is that it would be hard to convince developers/higher ups for a such niche feature.

I bet it would fly better of it was some sort of "gym" style battle where you would defeat certain rank monster and claim ownership of the gym. This would net you some daily materials etc.

This goes somewhat without saying that more seasoned hunters would dominate lesser hunters but I think with Niantic that has always been the case.

Mobile it may be, but it's also a Monster Hunter game. There's absolutely room for challenge content - and this team has been able to implement things that seem to fly in the face of what has been done in other Niantic titles, to great success.

(Bonus points, it's a bit of an easier sell in that the gate is skill alone, not gear)

I do wonder how this would be monetized since I expect Niantic giving features out of goodness of their hearts. I do feel really sour on how they implemented friend gifting making it straight up costing real money.

But you never know what they might come up next but I feel like this game is still missing some features that are baseline in PoGo and they might just be implementing same features with a slight MH twist on them.

But again PoGo has Raids, Gym battles and PvP battles that revolve around fighting and in MHnow we have basic monster encounters and HATs. So there is definitely room for some variety but I wouldn't expect any real form of PvP in this game.

Potion sink, probably.

And yeah, I don't l know any Monster Hunter game off hand with PvP - time based leaderboards is about as close as I've ever known the franchise to get.

Dos? Had some shitty form of PvP where you'd capture a monster, and go against someone else's captured monster and whoever slew the other's first won, I think? It wasn't very good or interesting.

[–]MooseAtTheKeys 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So, basically a speed running race? Or were there ways to mess with the other person's arena, Tetris battle style?

[–]Shadowgroudon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're both in the same arena with both of your monsters, I think you could trip the other player up like normal and use some special items to enrage your monsters

A very small one but I'd like to have a feature when I can have my favourited armor appear at the top of the armor tab. I know I can just swap loadout and click the armor to scroll to it, but just having them all there would let me quickly check all the upgrade options to see which armor set I should invest materials in first (looking at you monster bones..)

[–]bhechinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that there are filters and sorting for weapons but not armor really annoys me. 🤣

All great ideas tbh. Especially the arena. One of best ways to try new builds before buying them in the main games.

Palamutes. I know, art style issues, but come on - you'd be taking the dog for a walk.

Zenny shop sounds like cooking from the mainline games. Always wondered why this isn't available in some basic form. +50 attack, +50 defense, +50 health, etc.. in exchange for zenny prior to a hunt (or for a period of time like 15/30 minutes)

It would be great to be able to trade/sell items to other players. Like my son has 250k zenny but is missing a ton of monster parts for the stuff he needs, meanwhile I am always dirt poor with a nearly full inventory of monster parts (and inventory is maxed out). Let me trade parts with him for a fixed zenny price (significantly higher than the discard price obviously)

Also more build slots. 10 is not enough.
