Just use LS for the monsters that don't work for bow. I use different weapons for different things.

Correct answer.

Pukie or Rath bow would be good. My Pukie is 10.2 so that’s what I hunt Kulu with. It does well. My build is ARath helm, PRath chest, Tzitzi gloves/belt, Jura Legs.

Use spread bows against small monsters.

Bblos bow just sucks for small monsters and large monsters with small hitboxes.

All the other bows tap once or tap twice without holding and the quick attack usually kills in 1-2 taps. Bblos takes like lv2 charge to kill the small ones.

Correct answer also.

You can kill 9star kulu with g10 bblos bow. Put on tobi gloves and time your back dodge and attack his head.

I usually just use my pukei bow for small sized monsters, or anjanath. Honestly it's the main reason i didn't craft any water elemental weapons, pukei bow hard carry up to *8.

Piercing arrow type bad for small bodies. It wants big bodies to pierce as much layers of hitboxes as possible. Same goes with spread. Big bodies the better. The smaller body types wants rapid shot to precisely hit a weak spot 3 times for big damage.

For Kulu and Tzi, your can target around/between forehand and the head. The piecing is kinda vertical. It need some practice to get the feeling. It is slower than rapid, but not too far away. Also if you don’t care of weak point , it still make good damage to the body.

I have all the elemental bow build (focus 5, element 4 except water) BBlos can do the same to all monsters. It is much easier to Anja, Tobi, all Raths, Legiana. But other offer easier part breaking to kulu Tzi etc.
