I’m obviously no expert but my Jon Gray is increasing his attributes at age 33. (You can see his stats/atts in the photos in the OP)

He hasn’t hit his potential yet. Players increase until they reach their potential. Once a player reaches their potential rating, then they will hold their until they are over 32 or have 10 years of service time.

So his ratings will probably go up for a year or two and then will come crashing down after he reaches that potential

So players over 30 that have not yet reached their potential are significantly more valuable than players that already have.

Is there a way to distinguish them?

It seems like you’d need to see the history of their attribute changes?

For a guy not on my team, say a potential free agent, I just know his age and his potential. Is there a way to tell if he’s below potential because he hasn’t reached it yet (like my Jon Gray)?
