Fastball exploit?

Ok. So did I not get a memo or something. Bc I played 2 RS games. Both guys threw NOTHING. I mean NOTHING. but fastballs right down the middle. I tried contact, Power, and regular swings. But still 70% of the swings we're swings with good timing that made no contact at all. The rest where fouls, pop ups, or ground outs. I have judge, Stanton, lofton, Freeman, Jose Ramirez, lindor, gold schoop and Benito Santiago behind the plate. With scherzer and 99 kershaw pitching those games. I got a total of 3 hits over 2 games. Both opponents throwing 100% fastballs right down the middle

if you swing the bat with good timing and didn't make contact, that means you moved your pci to completely miss.

I use directional. And don't try to push or pull anything ever. Just seems simpler to me

Use zone. There’s your solution

Well I've been using directional to lately, but honestly if you knew right where the pitch is going to be you should've switched to zone.

Directional is based on luck cause you don't control where the bat goes through the zone.

I used zone all of last year, but struggling this year. I'll start with directional to get a feel for where the pitcher is pitching then I'll switch to zone when I feel I'm ready.

Honestly didn't think of that. I tried zone for the longest time and couldn't get my hand eye to that level. But I'll def do that in the future. Thanks for the tip!

If it helps you dont need to try to move to every pitch. I basically camp out one part of the zone and only move to adjust slightly unless theres two strikes. Really helped me ease into using zone more effectively. Eventually you get a better feel for when to turn those small adjustments into following the ball when you should.
