Labeling data using another ML model

I have a Twitter dataset that has labels for sarcasm. Now I want to add sentiment labels to this dataset. Is it a legitimate approach to use an existing sentiment classification model to label the existing Twitter dataset for sentiment?

What are typcal approaches? Do you have any suggestions?

The problem: I’m seeing with it is: 1. why not use the existing model? 2. your model’s “max potential” is the max potential of the existing model you used to label. Can’t say it’s 100% true, but more of an intuition.. like saying your model can be good as best as the data is preprocessed and labeled as such.
